Reception Pictures

The reception was truly a time of celebration with friends, family, food and of course dancing.

The Groom's grandparents.

The candy table was a huge favorite of children and adults alike.

Weddings bring something out in us old married folks~ ;-}

Clara's first wedding. She's 3 weeks old!

Kimberly took my camera and made many of these great pictures!
Thank you Kim.

The Bride and Groom started off the dancing with a waltz.

We all joined in and danced the Virginia Reel . . . . .

some English Country dances . . . . . . .

. . . . .and a variety of others including some that were Scottish.

The eating cake ceremony.
Does anyone know where that got it's start anyway???

Dear friends celebrating with the bride.

The family saying good bye and ~~

~~rejoicing in their new beginning.

The men blew bubbles and the ladies threw flower petals.

The car was tastefully and appropriately decorated.
(are you familiar with the movie Bambi?)

They are off to begin this new chapter in their walks with the Lord.

. . . . For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and shall be united firmly (joined inseparably) to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh

Matthew 19:5 (Amplified Bible)

Will that wash off the car...off the paint?!

I love the dancing. That is such a good idea to have "real" dancing at the wedding. :-) I would love to do something like that too.

Thanks for posting some great pictures. We didn't even take a camera, so it is really nice to see some here. What a wonderful picture of my parents. Can you send me a copy? Thanks again for sharing the day with us.
