The Kittens

We have a new kitten. Yeah !!!
It is Peekaboo's brother Jag. (short for Jaguar)
Jag is an excellent tree climber and jumper.

Jag is full of spunk!

But he is also very cuddly and playful.

Plotting?

She was just there, where can she be.....

Ambush!!!

Peekaboo: I got him good.

Jag: Next time she will not surprise me!

Haley :-)

Well. . . . . are you trying to say that a post about our kitties is boring????
Humph!

(and boring post)

This from the same person, that made disparaging comments, when we failed to post things fast and frequently enough for him. Well the nerve of some peoples cousins.

Boring? BORING? Boring is a two syllable word! If you are dissatisfied (4 syllables) by the monotonous(4 syllables) nature of our correspondence(4), at least your contumacy (4) could be asserverated(5) in a more circumlocutory (6) vernacular(4). Granted, our posts may occasionally (5) be somewhat saccharine(3-ought to count for more), but at least they are not obsequious(4)!

To Tim,
How insulting . . . . after all the labor I did to do justice to my beloved pets! :-(

Communications (5 syllables)

Bad communications all around. BORING? What do you mean boring??
You should have the kittens in your garage for five days and you'd have a metamorphosis(5)of your mind.

Dear TD,

We recommend Cyrano De Bergerac by Edmond Rostand as an excellent primer on criticizing with finesse. We will include an instructive (and slightly altered) excerpt in our next comment.

With cousinly affection,

Ah, no young sir!
You are too simple. Why, you might have said - Oh, a great many things! Dear me, why waste your opportunity? For example, thus:

(Aggressive)If that blog were mine, I'd close it down on the spot!

(Friendly) Well, posting things like that must make an improvement on watching the corn grow!

(Eloquent)What floods, what rivers of grief flow forth from my satiated orbs at yet another bland and insipid post!

These, my dear sir, are thing you might have said. However, if you had the inventions, here before these blog fans to criticize, be sure you would not then articulated the twentieth part of half a syllable of the beginning! For we say these things lightly enough ourselves, about ourselves, but we allow none else to utter them. - Cyrano D.B.

To All persons great and small:

Let it be known that former friend of myself, FD, going by the name of TD has been demoted from that state of friendhood that has previously allowed him to use the English language intelligently. I am sure-although he is now on probation-that he can have some explanation for his conduct. I am greatly mistaken if my friends, his sisters, do not bring this error to his attention.

Regards,
FD

Dear Cousins and family,
I must lower myself to quote from Mr. Collins's speeches in answering this grievous accusation.

...he declared he might almost have supposed himself in the small summer breakfast-parlour at Rosings; a comparison that did not at first convey much gratification; but when Mrs. Philips understood from him what Rosings was, and who was its proprietor -- when she had listened to the description of only one of Lady Catherine's drawing-rooms, and found that the chimney-piece alone had cost eight hundred pounds, she felt all the force of the compliment, and would hardly have resented a comparison with the housekeeper's room. (P&P ch. 16)

What I mean to say is this, I did not intend to indicate Your post, I meant My post. However, since I have not been speaking with FD recently, I entirely forgot myself and did not use the word I ought to have, namely "(and boring COMMENT)" here I must place my trust in your forgiveness for my lack of vocabulary. Here I rest my case.

I forgive you for your miscommunications (6). But I still hope for you a metamorphosis of mind about kittens.

Master TD,

Be not alarmed, sir, on receiving this letter, by the apprehension of its containing any repetition of those sentiments or renewal of those reproaches which were this evening so distressing to you. We write without any intention of paining you, or distressing ourselves, by dwelling on misunderstandings which, for the happiness of all cannot be too soon forgotten.
We now perfectly comprehend your meaning, and have now only to be discomforted by what our reaction has been. Forgive us for having taken up so much of your time, and accept our best wishes for your health and happiness.

Sincerely,
GJ (On Behalf of the Clan)

Dearest TD,

Such penitential(4) humility (4) would move the most adamantine (4) of hearts. Consider your opprobrium (4) to be henceforward (3) erased from the memory (3) of mankind.

In one thing only would I differ from you - that is on the value of your comment. Never has such a "boring" comment elicited (4) such an outflow of eloquence(3).

With renewed affection and deepest regards I remain,
Your friend,
Georgiana Jane Southerton

I thought it was a cute post!

Have you ever tried dressing your kitties up like I have (some people might call this animal torture)? Those make for some hysterical pictures! Though, I haven't done it in ahwhile, because my cats have become too big for doll clothes:)My cats were never harmed in the process of "getting dressed up", and they were always rewarded with a treat afterwards!I must say, they learned how to "stay" pretty well!
