Date Night

Last week I (GJ) took the train from Zion and went on a date down by Chicago.

Great fun!

Seeing as it was supposed to be a fun night out, it naturally included a stop at one of my favorite stores: Vogue Fabrics! I really, truly thought that I was going to go in and out without buying anything. Well, that would have been a record, and no records were made that night.

(Ok, ladies, how often do you find a gorgeous piece of lawn in a lovely, historically accurate print, 60 inches wide for $2.99 a yard? Some things are just too good to pass up!)

Here is a picture of us on the train:

You thought I went out with Kyle didn't you! I got ya!
Actually, I went out with my brothers - we haven't had a date night in a long time.

Chef Andrew tried out one of his recently perfected creations on us.

The simplest of sandwiches, raised to an art form. I could describe them further, but my life might be endangered. Besides, you'll ruin your keyboard if you drool on it.

Andrew is getting settled in to his new apartment. Here are a few pictures for those who have not been there yet. Things are looking good!

We also took a walk down to the Lake Michigan. I love walking in the city after twilight.
If I have an escort, that is.

Suffice it to say, it was pretty late by the time we left. ;-) Thanks Andrew for hosting such a great evening! - GJ

We are missing you TD. You always encourage us with your goofy comments. Hope we'll hear from you next week when you get home!

Well, I was just thinking about commenting when you guys left me that nice note, thank you.

Nate looks like the food affected him a little, or perhaps he is normally like that after midnight. If I remember correctly, Kyle and I should both know what Nate is like after such a late hour.

It looks like you guys enjoyed spending time together, and I will see some of you later this week.
