Labor Day Weekend

We had a wonderful weekend. My Aunt Marylyn from Texas was here visiting my parents and we wanted to spend some time with her. Sure wish we'd had more time together though! Soooo.........Gretchen and Kyle came a bit early on Friday. Before we all headed in different directions, we planned a big brunch with the whole family.

My Sweet Aunt
What a blessing her visit was for my folks. She and Mom talked a mile a minute.

Oh it felt so good to all be together!

We had quite a spread. Stuffed French Toast, Spiced Apples, Egg and Sausage casserole, Hash Browns, Watermelon, Grapes and Aunt Marylyn made us Cheesy Grits.

My kids didn't even know what grits were! "smile" We needed a little southern cookin'.

Miss Alaina had to have her lunch too. Yummy oatmeal mixed with pureed green beans. Makes your mouth water don't it??

Nate headed off to North Carolina for the filming of One Good Man. It is Advent Film Group's next feature film. He'll be gone for about six weeks.

Andrew headed down to Missouri to help a friend work on their house.

Ken & I with the rest of the kiddos headed up to the cabin with the Phillips family. Woo Hoo!

Pictures from that following shortly.
