First

As some of you know Sandy and I (Haley) went down to see Gretchen and Kyle last week. We got there on Sunday without any major mishaps excepting a slight scare. In the afternoon we went the Rockome Gardens where they were also having a WWII reenactment.

Twins!

This guy was fun to watch, usually when you think of chainsaws you also think
of BIG trees. When he was working on this bear he took only the littlest bits of wood off.

Now comes the WWII stuff.

Nice Gun!

Gretchen with the gun and her purse and camera.

Sandy looks cute even with a dangerous weapon!

This man carved wonderfully ornate things.

And now it is time to play tic tac toe with the chicken!

In the Rockome Gardens you see a lot of fun/weird things made
of rock and in this case broken cups.

Any Gardener will appreciate this sign.

This one is great too.

It was a lot of fun!

Haley

P.S. More coming soon, including info about the Purple Finger. ;)

Playing tic-tac-toe with a chicken? How does that work?

You know that the chicken wins every time! Hummm. . . . .

Finally a chicken gets the respect that she deserves! =)

I saw the pics here and over at Gretchen's of the WWII items. One of the really neat things in Ukraine was the war museum. (Andrew visited with us.) What was especially emotional for me was to see the Vietnam and Cold War memorabilia and memorials -- because the museum was in honor of the men on the "other side."

(But for most fascinating was the soviet-era propaganda posters. . . Very cool!)
