The Kind of Hunting Our Girls Do

Gretchen and Haley went on a hunting expedition to Evanston this week to one of our all time favorite fabric stores. You have NEVER seen anything like it. It must be a block long! They have every imaginable fashion fabric from a whole bunch of different designers.

There's a whole separate section of the store that is just for upholstering furniture that I have never even gone into.

They went to hunt for lace for Becca's bridesmaid dress. It wasn't to be a contrasting lace, it had to match the burgundy fabric that she's using to make her dress.

Gretchen also needed a special fabric called "illusion" to make her veil. That would be the easy find.

They have an entire part of the store just for weddings. It's the size of a store by itself. You can't imagine all that they have. There is even beaded fabric there that's over $200 a yard! (that's locked in a special case)

All that to say that even at Vogue there was NO WAY I thought that they could find the right lace in the right color.

I was happily WRONG! Can you believe they found it???

I bet-ya Gretchen is smiling behind that book!

Gretchen,

I found some fabric for my wedding dress at that store! Isn't it a fun place to spend HOURS?
